The North Vancouver Office of Cultural Affairs is a bi-municipal office, created jointly by the City and District of North Vancouver. Following an extensive period of research and community consultation, both the District and City Councils voted to establish the NVOCA in May 2007. Under the new administrative structure, the NVOCA manages all arts funding and cultural development for the City and the District.

	North Vancouver Office of Cultural Affairs helps the arts flourish in the North Vancouver community through programs focused on local visual, performing and literary arts, and cultural events. The main goal of this new model is to provide a single entry point for all arts development services. Projected advantages include improved coordination of policy and planning functions, more efficient coordination of municipal resources, more responsible service to arts groups and a strengthened role of the North Vancouver arts community.
