Thomas Fuchs is an artist and designer living in New York. His work has appeared in most publications in the US and many abroad, including The New York Times, The New Yorker, Time, Rolling Stone, GQ and Esquire. He has also worked on numerous projects in design and advertising, for clients as varied as Landor, Enterprise IG, Hasbro and SpotCo. His work has received awards from The Society of Illustrators (Gold Medal), American Illustration, Communication Arts, Print, SPD, The Art Directors Club NY and Germany (of which he is a member) and SND (Silver Medal). Thomas has many types of work currently available for licensing including but not limited to illustrations (painted and digital), celebrity portraits, surrealist paintings, logos and icons. He also takes commissions and collaborates with clients on new projects. Apart from his commercial work, he regularly creates image series as visual commentaries in response to political and societal tendencies.

Thomas Fuchs was born and raised in Germany. After finishing his studies in Graphic Design and Illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart with an MfA in '97, he moved to New York in November of the same year. His work has received awards from The Society of Illustrators (Gold Medal, Advertising and Institutional Category), American Illustration, Communication Arts, Print, SPD, The Art Directors Club NY and Germany (of which he is a member) and SND (Silver Medal). He currently lives and works in New York. |
