MY PAINTINGS are inspired by patterns both man-made and natural: wrought iron gates, piles of wood, window grates, waves, tree branches, glass beads, balls of yarn, frames, cornices, arches, stairs, hills, and holes. Line, form, repetition, and color are at play in these clusters of circles that form imperfect grids. The paintings reflect what I imagine to be nature's seemingly random and yet organizing principles.
