The Museum Computer Network (MCN) supports the greater museum community by providing continuing opportunities to explore, implement, and disseminate new technologies and best practices in the field. Founded in 1967, the Museum Computer Network has been serving the cultural heritage community for over 40 years. The Museum Computer Network is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation incorporated in the State of New York.

MCN organizes a wide variety of activities, including: Annual Conference: Hundreds of attendees explore the latest advances in museum technology through workshops, panel presentations, and vendor demonstrations. Email Listserv: MCN maintains an online discussion list, MCN-L, where members and non-members may post inquiries and announcements. Special Interest Groups: The MCN SIGs represent a range of topical interests as well as regional areas. Topical groups include Intellectual Property, Digital Media, and the Small Museum. There are regional SIGs for California and the Pacific Northwest as well as Taiwan and UK-Ireland. |
