A sense of place and belonging is increasingly important to me, especially since moving to the United States from the Soviet Union. As a result, my work has revolved around landscape for a number of years. I take bits and pieces of my surroundings and assemble them into imaginary environments. The media I use range from painting and printmaking to installation.
