Patsy Stevens is originally from West Texas and retired from teaching in 2002 after a 35 year career. She is a graduate of the University of Houston and received LLD certification from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. Most of her teaching career was spent teaching second graders, but she taught learning disabled children in a resource room for thirteen years.

	She enjoys music, her grandchildren, and preparing lessons for students, teachers, and homeschool moms. She and Murray met in 1988 and married a year later. Murray grew up in South Texas in the Cuero area. He graduated with a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&I University. He also pursued a masters degree in Physics at Texas A&M University.
