The mission of the New England Museum Association is to strengthen member museums and museums in the region. To achieve this mission, NEMA fosters communication and ethical conduct; provides professional development; promotes excellence in museum operations; and encourages support for the museum community. For nearly 90 years, the New England Museum Association has been the only organization in New England serving museums of all sizes and the people who work for and with them. As a member you'll find professional development opportunities, news, information, and the experience of more than 1,500 of your colleagues.

Description: New England Museum Association
Supports and furthers communication, ethical conduct and professional development among, by, and for New England's museums and their personnel. NEMA's 13 Professional Affinity Groups (PAGs) operate on both a formal and informal level, providing professional development workshops and seminars, as well as a forum for colleagues to network and discuss issues. PAG activities are open to all NEMA members. Each group is chaired by experienced colleagues willing to share their expertise, ideas and information.
