I hope you enjoy browsing through my current collection of encaustic art, which is created using molten beeswax. I started using this medium in 2007. Encaustic art is one of the oldest mediums known to man and is believed to have been used by the Ancient Greeks, Romans and Egyptians over 2500 years ago. Today with modern tools, such as irons, stylus, hotplate and hotair guns, in a way this medium has been reincarnated into a most incredible outlet for anyones creativity to be explored.

Wax paintings are durable and archival but they should not be exposed to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. Ideally they should be kept in temperatures between 1.6 - 51C. A film may appear on the surface for the first 6 to 12 months...this is a natural "bloom" and can be removed by wiping the surface with a soft cloth. |
