MosaicGlobe is a hosted application that allows creative users to host, build, publish and maintain their own Web site as a personal creative journal or a professional online presence. Site creators can maintain their own Web log, showcase their visual work in an online gallery and stream their music. Using MosaicGlobe, a full featured, professional website can be created easily without ever having to type a line of code. MosaicGlobe is the culmination of several years of development and focus group testing that resulted in us trashing the project and restarting several times to get it right. MosaicGlobe is an ongoing project. It is simple and intuitive to use, yet powerful enough to manage complex sites. Novice users can build and maintain their own site with ease; while more advanced users can have access to the CSS stylesheets and source HTML.

	We know that millions of Americans play musical instruments, sing, do creative writing, draw, paint, dance, act, make films, take pictures and engage themselves in many other forms of artistic pursuit. Artists are also online with a much higher frequency than the general population and are using the Internet to help create and distribute their art. However, only 16% of online artists have their own website. Why? Well, the average artist doesn't have the desire or time to learn HTML and web related skills. Some artists have had a friend or hired a design firm to build a Web site for them; only to find that they cannot update their work and have to keep paying a developer to manage their site. Some have tried using "blogs" to maintain their web presence and are frustrated at the inability to properly present their work professionally on systems that were never intended for that purpose.
