When the Buffy comics cooled down in 2004, there wasn't much left to report... until recently: IDW Publishing bought the licensing rights to the Angel property and has released a series of one-shots and mini-series focusing on Angel Season Five and beyond. Meanwhile, Dark Horse is finally raising Buffy from the dead, with an upcoming 2007 mini-series penned by Buffy creator Joss Whedon, who has been writing Marvel Comic's Astonishing X-Men and Runaways. The upcoming Buffy mini-series will finally give fans the answer to what 'Season Eight' of Buffy the Vampire Slayer might have been.
