A painting can, and must stand on it's own, and must speak for itself. I do a kind of dance with what I observe, and take it all in for interpretation. The observer, you, only has to contribute a moment of your attention, and if possible, your understanding. If you are pleased you are rewarded with the incite of my imagination, and can hear the language of my painting, with your own interpretation.

	My paintings are currently transitioning into expressive abstracted figures, brought to a conclusion through a judicious use of symbolism, using animals, birds words, etc. and simplification of detail, in the figures and faces. I continue to mostly use a bright and bold palette, and create extra interest through texture , and expressive gesture in the figures.
