She was born in New York city and currently resides in Paducah, Kentucky. Elise Beattie’s honors include being awarded The Elizabeth Erlanger Memorial Award from the National Association of Woman Artists, The Best of Show at the annual Paducah Woman’s Club Exhibit, The President’s Award from the Montana Watercolor Society.

The artist has also won a Blanchette Hooker Rockefeller Foundation Grant for a solo show in New York City. Beattie is also a signature member of the National Association of Women Artists, the Northwest Water Color Society, International Society of Acrylic Painters and numerous state water color societies.
