Lisa Nankivil is a Minneapolis-based painter and printmaker best known for her boldly articulated nonrepresentational paintings. Drawing on the century-long tradition of American and European abstraction, Nankivil creates dynamic interplays of color and form to explore the ambiguity of pictorial space and the subjective nature of perception. In 2008, Nankivil accepted an invitation to the Visiting Artist Program at Highpoint Editions, a nationally recognized collaborative press and fine print publisher, where she produced a series of edition lithographs and screenprints.
